Amanda had gotten styes on both eyes and was treated with antibiotics. The styes came back and I got curious, at this point she got a MRI and was diagnosed with Ewing Sarcoma. Every child who has been diagnosed with childhood cancer inspires us to Rally On to find better treatments with fewer long-term side effects and, ultimately, cures. Please join us in the fight against childhood cancer by making a donation or setting up your own Rally fundraiser today.RALLY WITH US!MEET MORE RALLY KIDS
Amelie is a spunky, artistic and gentle kid. She loves gymnastics and doing cartwheels. That’s why, when we noticed the swelling in her wrist on January 8th, 2018, we figured it was just a fracture or bruise from all her bouncing around. Unfortunately, by the next day, we were informed that our sweet five year old (now six), had a malignant bone tumor growing in her body. The next two weeks were a whirlwind of appointments and finally an official diagnosis of Ewing’s Sarcoma. Because Ewing’s...
Fourteen-year-old Gigi began fighting Acute Myeloid Leukemia AML) when she was 18 months old. The disease took the life of her twin sister, Jade, in 2000. Gigi, a four-time survivor, now wrestles with the awful side effects left by her cancer battles. As her parents knelt beside her when she was 9 years old to tell her that yet another cancer had developed (Osteosarcoma), she sat quietly with her head down for a long time. And then she burst into a horrible moan – a scream of complete and...
Sarah is like most 20 year olds, going to college doing life. Hanging with friends, working as a Nanny for a really special family each summer. Sarah loved doing things with her younger sisters. She was the fun sister always taking her younger sisters to do things. Sarah (we’ve) always had fun hanging out as most families do. She had a bump/lump appear on her right tibia. We had it looked at by her Dr. and after an X-ray we were told to watch it. It didn’t look like anything maybe just a cyst,...
At 14, beautiful Aliyah thought she had a sprained knee. She soon found out she had cancer. Her leg had to be amputated and she went through a series of harsh chemotherapy treatments. It was thought that Aliyah was in remission at the end of 2015, however on August 8, 2016 she relapsed and was diagnosed with recurrence of metastasis of the Osteosarcoma in her lungs. Aliyah is receiving 6 inpatient rounds of 24 hour/14 days of another chemo drug. When not in the hospital for treatment, Aliyah...
Alexis is 17 & has been cancer free since October 22, 2013. She was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma in her right knee/femur March 25, 2013 at the age of 16. Her mother says Alexis “was scheduled for 9 months of chemo but by the grace of God she completed treatment 2 months ahead of protocol.” She had total knee replacement surgery in June 2013, leaving her with a Titanium Knee. When she initially had the knee replacement, because of her chemo schedule, she was unable to do the scheduled PT, which...
