Hamilton was diagnosed on August 24th with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. He and his family were enjoying the end of the summer season with everyday activities, and no health issues. Around mid-August he began to have bruising that was not healing as quickly as normal, followed by Petechiae. Hamilton’s parents were familiar with Petechiae since their oldest child was diagnosed at 1 with ITP, Idiopathic Thrombocytopenic Purpura. Hamilton’s parents took him to their pediatrician, who promptly sent them to CHOA. That evening Hamilton was diagnosed with ALL. Hamilton and his family are thankful for all the healthcare faculty and staff that continue to provide care and instruction during this time. Hamilton continues to be a great brother to his two sisters, and a joy to his Mommy and Daddy.

Every child who has been diagnosed with childhood cancer inspires us to Rally On to find better treatments with fewer long-term side effects and, ultimately, cures. Please join us in the fight against childhood cancer by making a donation or setting up your own Rally fundraiser today.
