Samson was your typical, curious, wild and crazy four-year-old who loved all things Marvel, Hotwheels, space, geography, weather and anatomy. His parents became concerned when they noticed he was looking pale and acting lethargic—an unusual behavior for the normally active Samson. They took him to his primary doctor and blood work results showed that Samson was anemic. Samson’s parents then took him to the Emergency Room, where they later learned that their son had B-Cell Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia. Samson was diagnosed on December 3, 2019 and had to be quarantined away from his baby sister during his initial hospitalization. He had loved attending Pre-K but had to withdraw due to his diagnosis. Samson is facing a long 3.5-year battle but he is surrounded with people who love him and will help him see this journey all the way through.
