How Rally Tennessee Got Started

Nashville native Elaine Kay’s journey began to unfold when her 11-year-old son, James, battled a rare childhood cancer. The clinical trial that saved his life is now a national protocol, continuing to save more children.

Elaine’s dedication to childhood cancer research gave birth to Rally Tennessee (TN) in 2010. Rally TN has been an integral part of raising more than $29.4 million dollars to fund pediatric cancer research projects worldwide.

Supported by the Rally TN Leadership Advisory Board, the Rally TN Young Professionals, community partners and grassroots efforts, Rally TN works to fulfill Rally’s mission throughout the state. Pediatric oncology families are supported through resources, events, advocacy and the Rally Family Emergency Fund, Rally Good Meal, and Rally Kid programs.
