In February 2022, Amelia had started to not feel well. She was extremely lethargic and had developed some bruising and a rash. Her parents took her to the pediatrician and blood work was ordered. Amelia was told to go to the ER immediately after her labs came back. An oncologist was waiting for her arrival and they knew she had cancer. Amelia was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia on February 4th, 2022.
