Caleb had not been feeling well for a couple of weeks. He had what his doctor thought was the beginning of a staph infection on his leg, followed by swelling in his face, followed by a rash. On his third visit to his family doctor due to the rash, blook work was done and revealed very low red blood cell and white blood cell counts as well as platelets. He was then admitted to Scottish Rite where it was discovered to be Acute Myeloid Leukemia. At that point, he was transferred to Egleston. He has completed 2 out of the 4 rounds of chemotherapy as well as several transfusions so far.
