Every year, schools around the country pledge their support for kids fighting cancer with their own Rally fundraisers for childhood cancer research. Here are a few that caught our eye last year.

Lost Mountain Middle School in Kennesaw, GA
Jennifer Dawson coordinates Lost Mountain Middle School’s 4Q4R campaign to fulfill a promise to a former student, Rally Kid Tyler.
Lost Mountain Middle School teacher Jennifer Dawson organizes the 4 Quarters 4 Research (4Q4R) campaign at her school each year to fulfill a promise she made to Rally Kid Tyler, a student from her first year of teaching who passed away from Ewing sarcoma. Ms. Dawson’s students lead a school-wide campaign to collect change for one week, culminating with “Donation Day” when students line the hallways with buckets for a final coin collection. Last school year, Lost Mountain Middle School raised more than $15,000!
Mt. Bethel and Tritt Elementary Schools in Marietta, GA
Teachers from Mt. Bethel and Tritt Elementary Schools raised money for Rally during a fun kickball game, with cheerleaders and all!
Teachers from Mt. Bethel Elementary School and Tritt Elementary School took to the kickball field for some friendly competition in the name of childhood cancer research. Each school sold T-shirts in support of their staff and collected donations from students, parents and the community leading up to the big game. The stands were packed and more than $10,000 was raised for childhood cancer research!
Cordova Park Elementary School in Pensacola, FL
Students at Cordova Park Elementary School raised money different ways to give to their school’s 4Q4R campaign.
Rally Pensacola schools got involved in 2016 when Cordova Park Elementary School Parent Teacher Association implemented a program to teach students about helping others in need. In September, students participated in their first 4Q4R campaign in honor of fellow student Rally Kid Carolyn. After four days of emptying piggy banks, cleaning out sofa cushions and hosting lemonade stands, each class pooled together their coins for a chance to win a pizza party donated by Mellow Mushroom, a Rally Pensacola Community Partner. Cordova Park Elementary School raised more than $5,000, making them the school participating in 4Q4R for the first time that raised the most money for childhood cancer research!
Brentwood Academy in Nashville, TN
Students from Brentwood Academy raised money through T-shirt sales and change collections at a football game last fall.
Rally Nashville’s Brentwood Academy held their first 4Q4R event last fall. Teachers, parents and students helped collect change and sell T-shirts, raising more than $7,500!
