Dr. Read is an Associate Professor in both the Department of Pharmacology and Chemical Biology and the Department of Hematology and Medical Oncology at Emory University. Her lab seeks to understand the molecular logic underlying the initiation and progression of primary brain tumors to gain new insights into neurodevelopment and neurophysiology that can contribute to improved treatment and diagnosis of these diseases.

Dr. Read received her PhD from Washington University in St. Louis, MO followed by training in developmental neurobiology and brain tumor biology at The Salk Institute for Biological Studies.
