Rally Kid Damian

While getting dressed, Alethia’s mom noticed her stomach was extremely distended and looked bloated. Alethia complained of stomach pain later that night, so she went to the pediatrician to get checked. The pediatrician performed an ultrasound, determined she was constipated, and ordered miralax for constipation. Alethia began having sharp, intense pains in different places on her body. Alethia’s mother knew something else was wrong, so they went back to the doctor. At first, she was thought to have Epstein-Barr virus due to enlarged lymph nodes, liver, and spleen. After additional testing and a trip to the hematologist, Alethia was diagnosed with leukemia in December 2021, and started chemotherapy treatment on her 7th birthday.

Every child diagnosed with childhood cancer inspires us to Rally On to find better treatments with fewer long-term side effects and, ultimately, cures. Please join us in the fight against childhood cancer by making a donation or setting up your own Rally fundraiser today.
