University of California San Francisco – Assistant Professor of Pediatrics
Dr. Winestone is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics in the Division of Malignancies and Bone & Marrow Transplant at the University of California San Francisco. She is also a pediatric blood and bone marrow transplant specialist with a strong interest in caring for children with high-risk or relapsed leukemia or lymphoma. Her research explores racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic disparities in access to care and outcomes of leukemia and lymphoma treatment. Her ongoing work investigates access to highly specialized and complex therapies such as stem cell transplant, CAR T-cells and MIBG therapy.
Dr. Winestone earned her medical degree at Stanford University School of Medicine. She then completed a residency in pediatrics at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford and a fellowship in pediatric hematology and oncology at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. She also has a master’s degree in health policy research from the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine.
