Dr. Loeb’s clinical work focuses on tumors of connective tissue, such as bone and muscle. He also has expertise in the care of children with other solid tumors. As a member of the bone marrow transplantation team, he cares for patients with acute leukemias and has expertise in the application of immunotherapy to childhood cancer. Dr. Loeb has an active translational research laboratory focused on understanding bone tumor metastasis. In July 2023 the Department of Defense awarded Dr. Loeb a $400,000 two-year Idea Award to explore treatment-induced metastasis in Ewing sarcoma.

Dr. Loeb earned his MD and PhD in pathology at Columbia University. He completed his residency and fellowship in pediatric hematology oncology at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.
