Dr. Johnson is a pediatric hematologist-oncologist and Co-Director of the Pediatric Immunotherapy Program at the Children’s Hospital of Georgia.
Dr. Johnson’s lab conducted the first Phase I trial of an IDO inhibitor to treat children with recurrent brain tumors with great success, leading to additional promising trials including a second Phase I trial pairing the IDO inhibitor with a second immunotherapy drug.

Dr. Johnson received his MD from the Medical College of Georgia and PhD in Molecular Medicine from Augusta University.
