St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital – Assistant Member, Department of Bone Marrow Transplantation and Cellular Therapy
Dr. DeRenzo leads the study of CAR T-cell therapy in the treatment of solid tumors at St. Jude. He is an Assistant Member and is focused on harnessing the body’s immune system to treat pediatric patients with solid tumors. His efforts are aimed at developing novel methods for training patients’ T-cells to target tumors.
Dr. DeRenzo earned his MD from Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, his MBA from Rutgers Business School, and completed his fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine/Texas Children’s Hospital.
