Dana-Farber/Boston Children’s Cancer Institute – Research Co-Director, Solid Tumor Center
Harvard Medical School – Assistant Professor of Pediatrics

Dr. Crompton is a pediatric oncologist who specializes in caring for patients with solid tumor malignancies and cancer predispositions. His laboratory focuses on utilizing proteomic and genomic approaches to expand our understanding of cancer biology and identify novel treatment approaches for pediatric sarcomas. One goal of his laboratory is to validate the use of specific tyrosine kinase inhibitors in combination with other agents in the treatment of Ewing sarcoma. Dr. Crompton’s group is also focused on developing new non-invasive tumor profiling techniques, also known as liquid biopsies, to quantify disease burden, monitor patients for clinical responses to therapy, and discover clinically relevant patterns of tumor evolution.

Dr. Crompton earned his medical degree at Boston University School of Medicine. He completed a residency in pediatrics at the University of California San Francisco Medical Center and a fellowship at Boston Children’s Hospital/Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in pediatric hematology/oncology.
