Dr. Chintagumpala oversees all clinical and clinical research activities involving children with brain tumors and solid tumors. His specific interests include the management of children with all brain tumors, retinoblastoma, bone tumors and kidney tumors. He is the principal investigator representing Baylor College of Medicine in the Pediatric Brain Tumor Consortium and serves as a member of the Brain Tumor Committee and chair of the Retinoblastoma Committee within the Children’s Oncology Group. He is the principal investigator of a multi-institutional study designed to improve survival in patients with osteosarcoma as part of the Bone Tumor Program.

Dr. Chintagumpala is a graduate of Madras Medical College in India. He completed his residency at Columbus Hospital in Chicago, then graduated from the Baylor College of Medicine Fellowship Program in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology.
