Dr. Brock is a pediatric hematologist/oncologist and director of the Supportive Care Clinic at the Aflac Cancer and Blood Disorders Center of Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. Dr. Brock is an assistant professor of pediatrics at Emory University School of Medicine. She is a member of the Cancer Prevention and Control Research Program at Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. Dr. Brock’s research focuses on palliative care for pediatric patients with cancer and blood diseases, including improved access to palliative care and the development of a supportive oncology outpatient model. She is also interested in graduate medical education research in palliative care and has developed novel strategies for measuring and teaching palliative care through the use of surveys, didactic and simulation-based curricula.
Dr. Brock received her medical degree from Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago. After a residency in pediatrics at the University of Colorado and Children’s Hospital Colorado, she completed a clinical research fellowship in pediatric hematology and oncology at Stanford University and an additional fellowship in hospice and palliative medicine at Dana-Farber/Boston Children’s Hospital. She also holds a master’s degree in epidemiology and clinical research from Stanford University.
