Vanderbilt University Medical Center – Associate Professor of Pediatrics
Dr. Benedetti is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics in the Division of Hematology/Oncology at Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt. Dr. Benedetti is a solid tumor oncologist with clinical and research expertise in pediatric renal tumors and is on the steering committee for the Children’s Oncology Group Renal Tumor Committee. His research interests involve developing clinical trials to improve treatment of higher-risk renal tumors. Dr. Benedetti has an advanced degree and training in bioethics, serves on the COG Bioethics Committee, and conducts research exploring ethical dilemmas that occur in the care of children with cancer.
Dr. Benedetti received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania, and his MD and MA in bioethics from the University of Washington. He completed pediatric residency and a Clinical Bioethics fellowship at Seattle Children’s Hospital, and fellowship in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology at Dana-Farber/Boston Children’s Cancer and Blood Disorders Center.
