City of Hope – Chair and Professor, Department of Pediatrics

Dr. Armenian is a pediatric hematologist-oncologist and Director of the Division of Outcomes Research/Intervention at City of Hope Cancer Center Duarte. He is the Barron Hilton Chair in Pediatrics, co-leads the City of Hope Cancer Control and Population Sciences Program, and directs the Center for Survivorship and Outcomes in the Hematologic Malignancies Research Institute. He is a Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Research Scholar and has been the recipient of several National Institutes of Health and other prestigious peer-reviewed foundation grants. Dr. Armenian is the immediate past chair of the Children’s Oncology Group Survivorship and Outcomes Committee and has led international efforts to establish research priorities as part of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, International Guidelines Harmonization Group for Cancer Survivors, and NIH HCT Consensus Late Effects Initiative.

Dr. Armenian completed his medical degree at Western University of Health Sciences and his training in general pediatrics and pediatric hematology/oncology at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. He earned his MPH from the University of Southern California.
