Dr. Mohamed Shebl Abdelbaki is the Director of the Pediatric Neuro-Oncology Program at St. Louis Children’s Hospital (SLCH), and an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. Additionally, he is the Director of the Clinical Research Office for the Pediatric Hematology, Oncology and Bone Marrow Transplant division at SLCH. Dr. Abdelbaki is a member of the Central Nervous System Committee at the Children’s Oncology Group. He is the institutional Principal Investigator for both the COllaborative Network for NEuro-oncology Clinical Trials (CONNECT) consortium as well as the Pediatric Neuro-Oncology Consortium (PNOC) – one of the largest consortia in North America conducting early phase clinical research in brain tumors – where he also serves as the Chair of the Germ Cell Tumor Working Group.
Dr. Abdelbaki completed his medical degree at Cairo University, Egypt, and his residency at Albany Medical Center. At Texas Children’s Hospital, he completed both his pediatric neuro-oncology and pediatric hematology oncology fellowships.
