A graduate of Auburn University and Harvard Business School’s Executive Education Strategic Perspectives in Nonprofit Management, Dean received her “fundraising baptism by fire” while serving as the Campaign Director for Young Life’s national camp, Sharp Top Cove. She was led to create Rally Foundation after her son’s teammate was diagnosed with brain cancer. His mother challenged Dean to help fund childhood cancer research so that no family would have to endure what they were going through. Thus, Rally Foundation for Childhood Cancer Research was founded in 2005 with a mission to empower volunteers across the country to raise awareness and funds for childhood cancer research to help find better treatments with fewer long-term side effects and, ultimately, cures. Dean’s vision and leadership have propelled Rally to receive the highest rankings from charity watchdogs. She is married to Reid, Rally’s CFO, COO and co-founder.
