Volunteers are the heart of Rally's mission!
Lizzie was diagnosed with Ewing Sarcoma in February 2023. We had noticed that she had a lump on her back, but dismissed it. When we finally did bring her in, they ran a whole lot of scans and a biopsy and found that it was a malignant tumor attached to her 11th right rib. She began bi-weekly chemotherapy treatments shortly afterwards. We are currently halfway through chemo (as of June 2023) and waiting on a date for surgery to remove the tumor. The first few rounds of chemo were brutal as Lizzie fought 3 different respiratory viruses. She needed lots of additional help during that time. Since then, she has been tolerating the chemo pretty well and we pray that that continues! Our Lizzie is such a fighter and we know she will beat this cancer!
