To declare September as Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, an event on August 27 at the State Capitol featured a proclamation by Gov. Brian Kemp. Organized by the Rally Foundation for Childhood Cancer Research, the event spotlighted the ongoing efforts to improve treatments and find a cure. Eighth-grader Cooper Gardner, currently fighting Stage 4 lymphoma, delivered a powerful speech supporting the cause. Click here to read more.
