A week after her baby brother was born, Harmony kept spiking fevers. On Easter 2016, we took her to the E.R and after doing a blood test, they told me she was very sick and us a helicopter was on it’s way to lifeflight her to Akron, Ohio – an hour away from us. I flew there with her, with no idea what was going on with my baby. When we got there, they said she was severely anemic and had the flu and pneumonia. The next day, they did a bone marrow biopsy and we received the devastating news that Harmony had Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. Our world fell apart. The last 2 years have been hell. Thankfully, her cancer is in remission and she only has a few more months of chemotherapy left.
