On September 29th 2016, Our family of three grew by one when Caison decided that he was ready to start his journey in this world 4 weeks early. On the second day of his life he was diagnosed with bilateral retinoblastoma, which is cancer of the retina. So what was to be another happy time in our lives became a nightmare again for the second time. Our first son, Tristen, was also born with the same cancer as Caison. After experiencing the battle that he continues to go through, we knew what was in store for us going forward. Both of our children will continue to undergo many medical procedures and multiple trips to the hospital to battle this disease. Treatments for Caison included Evaluation under Anesthesia, eye laser therapy on a regular basis, and months of chemotherapy in order to try and rid them of cancer. At this time Caison is still fighting this battle and continues to receive treatment. Because of the location of one of the tumors in his left eye, he was found to have no central vision in that eye. He currently gets therapy to work around this deficit and is a brave and happy little boy, full of spirit and energy. And we know he will win this battle.

Every child who has been diagnosed with childhood cancer inspires us to Rally On to find better treatments with fewer long-term side effects and, ultimately, cures. Please join us in the fight against childhood cancer by making a donation or setting up your own Rally fundraiser today.
