When Mariaha was diagnosed at 18 months old with brain cancer, specifically grade 3 Anaplastic Apendymoma, it turned her family’s life upside down for an entire year. Mariaha was blessed to be in remission for three years until September 2019, when her cancer returned at an even higher grade. Sadly, given the aggressive nature of the cancer, the prognosis was very poor and Mariaha was placed on hospice. Mariaha used to love dancing and playing, but she became wheelchair bound and lost her eyesight. Shortly after her fifth birthday, Mariaha lost her battle with childhood cancer.
Every child who has been diagnosed with childhood cancer inspires us to Rally On to find better treatments with fewer long-term side effects and, ultimately, cures. Please join us in the fight against childhood cancer by making a donation or setting up your own Rally fundraiser today.
