We discovered Hannah’s tumor at her regular 5 year well visit. We noticed she had been having fevers, stomach issues and some weight loss but had no idea this is what we would be facing. When we discovered the tumor, it had overtaken her entire left kidney and weighed 2.5 lbs! Since then, Hannah has bravely faced surgery, radiation and chemotherapy with poise, grace and maturity that is well beyond her 5 years. We are now down to Hannah’s last scheduled chemo treatment on 8/26 and are hopeful for clean scans and an end to treatment. We truly feel so lucky to have found such a support network in the staff and families at Scottish rite, as well as our friends, family and community, we can’t wait till we can kick this cancer for good!
Every child who has been diagnosed with childhood cancer inspires us to Rally On to find better treatments with fewer long-term side effects and, ultimately, cures. Please join us in the fight against childhood cancer by making a donation or setting up your own Rally fundraiser today.
