Around Christmas of 2022, Rally Kid Lizzie’s parents noticed a small lump on her back. Everything seemed normal as she began to walk, and it didn’t bother her. After a trip to the pediatrician, Lizzie was referred to Vanderbilt for a CT scan. Lizzie had surgery in February of 2023 to biopsy the mass, and it showed that it was malignant. Lizzie was then diagnosed with Ewing Sarcoma.
Every child who has been diagnosed with childhood cancer inspires us to Rally On to find better treatments with fewer long-term side effects and, ultimately, cures. Please join us in the fight against childhood cancer by making a donation or setting up your own Rally fundraiser today.
