Dr. Schnepp received his MD and PhD from the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania and completed his residency and fellowship training at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. In 2016, he became an Assistant Professor at the Aflac Cancer and Blood Disorders Center, Children’s HealthCare of Atlanta, Emory University School of Medicine. His laboratory studies transcriptional/translational and epigenetic deregulation, seeking to determine how RNA binding proteins and epigenetic proteins shape the malignant phenotype in aggressive solid tumors, with an emphasis on neuroblastoma and rhabdomyosarcoma. His ultimate goal is to translate these findings to the clinical realm, providing better therapeutic options for children diagnosed with aggressive solid tumors.
