After complaining of leg pain, and finding blood blisters in her mouth I took her to the ER. They did labs and what seemed like a lifetime came back to tell me she possibly had cancer. We waited on an ambulance to transport us to Scottish Rite to verify that it was in fact cancer. Ashlynn was just three years old when she was diagnosed. After many hospital stays and 2.5 years of treatment she is a healthy 7 year old girl. She is very active, smart, loves to read and has really accelerated above and beyond in school. She has been the toughest little warrior and fought cancer like it was nothing. She recalls very little of her treatments but still knows she beat cancer.
Every child who has been diagnosed with childhood cancer inspires us to Rally On to find better treatments with fewer long-term side effects and, ultimately, cures. Please join us in the fight against childhood cancer by making a donation or setting up your own Rally fundraiser today.
