Amanda is a 23-year-old proud childhood cancer survivor. She was diagnosed with stage 4 Wilms Tumor when she was 5-years-old. The prognosis was not good as she had a right nephrectomy, 2 rounds of chemo, radiation treatment, and a bone marrow transplant over the course of 2 years. She has now been cancer free since 1997! Today, Amanda loves Braves baseball, live music, shopping, and cooking. “It is by the grace of God that I am here to share my story today,” Amanda says.
Every child who has been diagnosed with childhood cancer inspires us to Rally On to find better treatments with fewer long-term side effects and, ultimately, cures. Please join us in the fight against childhood cancer by making a donation or setting up your own Rally fundraiser today.
