Rally for Kennedy Grace

Rally Kid, Kennedy Grace, and her family are pictured above wearing her ‘Rally for Kennedy Grace’ t-shirts. Kennedy Grace had her own “Rally with Kennedy Grace” t-shirt designed, and Rally created a website where families, friends, and supporters can donate directly to her webpage, get t-shirts and support childhood cancer research.

Other Rally Kids have created their own t-shirts to raise money for Rally Foundation. To see other Rally Kid’s fundraising webpages, please

Is Childhood Cancer Different than Adult Cancer?

Absolutely. Pediatric Oncologist Dr. Claire Mazewski of Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta explains, “Childhood cancer is quite different than adult cancer. The types of cancers and their causes differ.”

“Adults tend to get breast, lung, colon and prostate cancer. In contrast, children typically get tumors of the brain and nervous system, tumors of the lymphatics, kidneys, bones and muscles as well as leukemias.”

“The most striking difference is that the majority of children with cancer are treated on clinical trials developed through the collaboration of teams of pediatric cancer specialists throughout the country and world.”
