Local Atlanta residents, Skip and Victoria Moore, have once again teamed up with the Rally Foundation for Childhood Cancer Research (Rally) for the "McCann 16 Home Run Challenge". For every home run Brian McCann hits in the 2012 baseball season the Moore's have committed to donating $1,000 to the Rally Foundation for Childhood Cancer Research. Pledge a $1.60 or $16 for every home run Brian McCann hits this season. Our goal is reach $3,000 per home run. Last season, McCann hit 24 home runs. If you had pledged $1.60 a home run last year, your total commitment would have been $38.40 and if you had pledged $16 a home run, your total commitment would have been $384.00
Brian McCann and his wife Ashley have been spokespeople for Rally since 2008 and they are thrilled about the 2012 McCann 16 Home Run Challenge. "Kids get different cancers than adults, which means that different research is needed to find better treatments and cures. That's why my wife Ashley and I have teamed up again with the Rally Foundation to help raise awareness and funds for childhood cancer research so that these kids can get back to being kids", said McCann. "After meeting kids affected by cancer and seeing what they go through, Rally Foundation has become close to our hearts."
