Meet Chelsie

Chelsie was diagnosed with stage III High Risk Neuroblastoma in August 2004 at the very young age of 4 months. By her first birthday she had endured multiple rounds of chemotherapy, 12 rounds of radiation, oral chemotherapy, surgery to remove the remaining tumor, and a very risky stem cell transplant. Through it all she remained a trooper. In February 2005, she was declared NED (no evidence of disease), which she remains today. We were very fortunate to live in a community with a cancer center for children. We count our blessings daily that she is where she is today, especially since many of her friends are not so fortunate. Chelsie has started pre-school this fall and loves to cheer on her favorite team ( O-H-I-O ). She is still followed very closely by her oncologist and is scanned every 3 - 6 months. She is such a joy to our family and we pray that a cure is found, so that others may live.
