Atlanta Braves All-Star catcher Brian McCann, and his wife Ashley, will be the honorary chairs of Rally Foundation’s fourth annual Benefit Bash with Mizuno Big League Players on Thursday, Nov. 11, at The Foundry at Puritan Mill. All proceeds of the event will benefit the Rally Foundation for Childhood Cancer Research and their mission to find better treatments with fewer long-term side effects and cures for childhood cancer.
“My wife and I are excited to be honorary chairs again at this year’s Benefit Bash,” said McCann. “After meeting kids affected by cancer and seeing what they go through, Rally Foundation has become close to our hearts. We really look forward to being involved in this event each year.”
Tickets for Rally Foundation’s Benefit Bash are $150 each and allow guests to mingle with Mizuno Big League Players, celebrities and local philanthropists. They will have the opportunity to participate in both live and silent auctions while also enjoying a variety of food and drinks.
In addition to Brian and Ashley McCann, celebrity guests scheduled to attend include Atlanta Braves player Chipper Jones, former Braves pitching coach Leo Mazzone, former NFL Super Bowl coach Sam Wyche and other Mizuno Big League players. The Benefit Bash has been a sold-out event since its inception, raising more than $522,000 in its first three years for childhood cancer research.
A special addition to this year’s festivities will be a celebrity softball tournament the following day on Friday, November 12th (location TBD).
“Brian and Ashley were dedicated Benefit Bash chairs in 2008 and 2009, and Rally is looking forward to another successful event with the McCann’s,” said Dean Crowe, Founder and CEO of Rally Foundation. “It is our hope that the fourth annual Benefit Bash will raise even more money to fund critical research for children fighting cancer.”
